What Coldy handles after you upload a list
Coldy is a workspace for email outreach, not a finished meeting pipeline. It lets a team connect sending mailboxes, upload a list, build text sequences, review campaign data and manage replies. Higher plans add broader integrations and automation options.
Four decisions still remain with your company: which accounts to target, why each segment should hear from you, what the first line can truthfully say, and who answers a reply asking for a proposal. A generic claim about helping businesses grow may be delivered correctly, but it gives a decision-maker no reason to respond.
Coldy’s strength is one operating environment for an in-house email campaign. Its limit is that the platform cannot confirm that your segment is right or take a qualified reply through to a meeting.
OT9 has a different remit: we run B2B outreach through email, Telegram and LinkedIn, test the working hypothesis before scale, prepare copy and handle incoming replies. See full-service outreach for the scope.
What Coldy costs and what a subscription does not include
Coldy offers a free plan and paid plans with different allowances for active recipients and monthly email volume. Sequence messages count toward email allowances, so the number of companies in a database is not the same as the number of new companies you can contact each month.
| Item | Coldy | OT9 |
|---|---|---|
| Sending access | Monthly platform subscription | Not a separate subscription; part of an agreed campaign |
| Company list | Upload your own list or obtain data through the platform | Built to the agreed ICP and checked before work begins |
| List verification | Available as a platform function | Handled within campaign preparation |
| Personalisation | Platform-assisted options are available | The team checks the wording and the evidence behind it |
| Replies | Built-in correspondence is available on higher plans | Qualification and handover of a substantive conversation to your sales team |
| Channels | Email is the main workflow, with Telegram options available | Email, Telegram and LinkedIn selected for the campaign task |
A subscription does not remove the need for sending infrastructure, staff time for list work and correspondence, or any paid usage items. For Russia and CIS, this matters because business email is often read directly by decision-makers in Yandex 360 and Mail.ru inboxes, while Telegram is also a working business channel. Compare OT9 pricing separately at outreach pricing: it is not comparable to a single platform seat.
Who can run a Coldy campaign in-house
- You have someone who works outbound sales daily and can handle replies without delay.
- Your ICP is defined as filters, not broad labels: industry, region, company size, role and a specific reason to contact.
- You have a usable data source and time to check contacts.
- You need to test one email hypothesis while retaining control of every message inside the company.
This route can suit an IT integrator with an active SDR. The SDR can identify companies with a relevant operational signal, ask a concrete question about the owner of that process, and respond when the prospect says the answer depends on the task. Coldy reduces manual sending; it does not replace the SDR.
OT9 is appropriate when an in-house launch will not fit into the commercial lead’s schedule: there is no person to research decision-makers, a new segment needs to be tested, or email needs to work alongside Telegram and LinkedIn. See business cases for outreach to assess the fit.
Why the same email allowance does not create the same campaign
A larger plan can technically hold a larger pool of active recipients. But an allowance is tool capacity, not market validation. If a metalworking supplier puts procurement staff, chief engineers, accountants and generic inboxes into one sequence, those recipients have entirely different reasons to reply.
A weak opening says: “We automate manufacturing and would like to show you our solution.” The recipient cannot see why they were selected or what problem is being discussed. A more useful opening refers to a verifiable operational signal and asks whether a specific process is already covered; “already covered” is also a valuable answer because it tells you to change the segment or trigger rather than send a brochure.
Across the verified period of our campaigns, 811,200 companies received contact and 6,500 replies were explicit requests for details, a proposal or a meeting. These figures describe OT9 campaigns only; they do not predict Coldy results or promise the same share in another niche. Read how we define results in our guarantees.
Where neither Coldy nor OT9 is the right answer
Coldy is not the answer if you expect a subscription to find a paying segment, write a provable offer and book a meeting by itself. Automation can process information from a list or website, but it does not know your commercial constraints, deal economics or which opportunities your sales team can take on.
OT9 is not the right fit if the product cannot yet be explained through one verifiable benefit, your sales team cannot accept substantive conversations, or you want to send one undifferentiated offer to every company in the market. Outreach is also not the route for urgently generating mass consumer demand.
- Do not use your company’s primary email setup for outreach without a separate infrastructure decision.
- Do not buy a larger allowance before testing one narrow hypothesis.
- Do not treat every reply as a lead: an opt-out and a request for a proposal require different actions.
- Do not hire an outreach partner if nobody in your company can take a meeting and prepare a commercial response.
How to decide after reading this Coldy review
Choose Coldy if you need a tool and the process already exists in-house: an operator, a clear list and disciplined reply handling. Choose OT9 if you need an outbound task completed with preparation, hypothesis testing and multiple channels, rather than another workspace for the team.
The middle route is not to buy a large plan just in case. Review your current setup first: sending infrastructure, list sources, the opening sequence and reply routing. Request a free outreach audit for that review.
Ask one question: who will identify the right companies on Tuesday morning, explain to each why they received the email, and answer what comes back? If you have that person and a working process, Coldy can be useful. If not, a subscription will not create one.
